My Heart: To use art to bring the message of Christ and God's Word to the needful heart so that the Holy Spirit can work faith. This is the core of the Worship Arts Team at CrossWalk. Using music, media, graphics, and other forms of art, I want each and every member and visitor to CrossWalk to walk away and know that God loves them so much that he gave Jesus up on the cross for them.
My Story: My parents brought me to the baptismal waters where the Holy Spirit planted faith in my heart when I was a month old. I grew up in the church and in Christian schools all my life. While in 8th grade, I have a picture of myself standing in a pulpit at my old church in Eagle River, WI. When family members looked at that, they said "I bet you'd make a good pastor". After high school and a year at college to become a land surveyor, I decided to pursue the teaching ministry at Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN. I was trained to be a high school physical science teacher for 5 years. While at MLC, a group of friends and I started a band called Corban Creek. We weren't necessarily the greatest band you've ever heard, but we had a great time writing songs and touring the country. Because of the experience gained from Corban Creek and through the Holy Spirit's guidance, I accepted a call to CrossWalk in August of 2005 to be the Director of Worship Arts.
While in college, I met my better half, Erin. She is my everything, my best friend, and is way better looking than me. We have two beautiful daughters, Taylor and Mackenzie.
