Melody Fryberger, Fellowship
My Heart: My family, service to others, and kids with disabilities and/or behavioral issues.
My Story: I was raised in a Christian home, but fell away from regular church attendance in college. My husband and I floated from church to church looking for a place to call our church home. We walked into CrossWalk's doors when the membership was about 60 people. God impressed upon my heart the church's mission for outreach, service and compassion. My husband and I became passionate about the mission of CrossWalk and began volunteering in the service ministries. Three years later, God put on my heart to leave my job as a special education teacher with the district I had served with for 8 years to become a full-time member of the staff in the area of Fellowship.
Favorite Foods: Anything Italian, steak, Dr. Pepper.
On My iPod: Mostly Country and Christian, a little big band, some rat pack and Josh Groban.
Favorite Book: To Kill a Mockingbird.
Favorite Movies: Shawshank Redemption, The Indiana Jones series, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation.
Weird Fact About Me: I hate cold ketchup and eat spaghetti at least 4 times a week.
