Presentation Engineer

Objective: To enhance the worship experience by providing assistance with the presentation of videos and other visual media using ProPresenter, resulting in the communication of the worship message to a large gathering of worshippers on the video screen(s).

Supervisor: Production Manager

Tasks:

  • Sets up all presentation equipment

  • Performs proper sound and visual check on all videos and presentations used throughout the service with the help of the audio engineer

  • Advances through ProPresenter slides during pre-worship band rehearsal and service

  • Follows worship order during service and anticipates transitions

  • Remains at presentation station and stays engaged during the service (unless emergency troubleshooting arises)

  • Communicates any equipment issues to the Presentation Team Leader as needed.

  • Takes down presentation equipment and properly puts in storage

  • After packing up presentation equipment, assists other production areas during tear down until everything is complete

  • Identifies and invites potential new presentation engineers to join the team

  • Attends production team meetings as needed

Expectations:

  • Term: 1 yr renewable commitment

  • Time: 1 month scheduled on/off; 6 hours on scheduled Sunday

  • Training: Sunday morning mentorship

  • Enrichment:

    • Actively learns about products and resources to enhance presentation production

    • Attends other worship facilities and/or concerts for inspiration

    • Uses internet resources like YouTube for creativity

  • Spiritual Growth: Regular worship and growth group participation encouraged

Qualifications/Skills Needed:

  • Age Requirement: 14+ years old (younger may serve if accompanied by an adult)

  • Skill Requirements:

    • Willing to learn ProPresenter

    • Ability to think quickly and react/trouble-shoot properly in high stress situations

  • Additional Requirement: Signed confidentiality agreement
