Misquoted

Some quotes exist that we believe to be from the Bible, but aren't. Other quotes exist that we know aren't in the Bible, but we believe anyway. These quotes gain traction in the world and even in the church because they reflect two opposite sinful truths of the human heart: 1) We are puffed with sinful pride and think we don't we need God or only want him to do what we want, and 2) We are destroyed by hopelessness and despair and are convinced God can't help and we're on our own.

We'll explore what might be true about parts of each quote as we explore real quotes from God, straight from the Bible! What God actually says in his Word clearly shows that we not only need God, but that God goes after us, forgives us, loves us, protects us and never gives up on us. God definitely said that. In fact, he promised it!
